Panel discussions

Teacher’s Forum - Panelists Ashley Crosland, Jacqueline Pollauf, Lynne Aspnes and Moderator Mary Jane D’Arville will discuss contemporary issues in teaching the harp as well as fielding questions from the audience.

Career Options in Music - A wide variety of career options are available to harpists today, in addition to the traditional performing paths. Panelists: Calista Koch, Angelica Hairston, Robbin Gordon-Cartier, moderated by Rhett Barnwell.


masterclassES

The Masterclasses are free to participants who have registered for the full Festival. Advance registration to play for the Masterclasses is required. Space is limited and usually fills up quickly. To be considered, please email us at info@atlantaharpcenter.com.

Festival Competition

We invite students of all ages to participate in the competition! Participants will perform for a panel of 2 judges and the performance will be open to conference attendees. The repertoire is accessible for both pedal and lever harpists. Prizes of $100 cash and a $50 AHC Gift Certificate will be awarded for first place winners in each category; all other participants will receive a gift certificate to the Atlanta Harp Center.  The winner in each category will perform on the Grand Finale Concert, Sunday at 2:00pm. The competition is limited to 4 harpists per category in order of application, and all competitors must be registered for the Full festival.

Harp regulations

Ivan Gardner, Certified Lyon and Healy Technician, will be in residence at the hotel from Wednesday, March 13 through Saturday, March 16. Please contact Ivan directly at ivangardnerregulations@gmail.com for more information or to schedule an appointment.

exhibit hall

The Atlanta Harp Center will have an extensive display of lever and pedal harps, music, strings and accessories available for your shopping enjoyment! Angi Bemiss will also have a display of her publications from Simply the Harp.
